The gluten-free bun
Chick-fil-A introduced a Udi’s gluten-free bun in 2017. It’s pre-packaged in a sealed wrapper and warmed but never opened until you do. To order: “Grilled Chicken Sandwich on the gluten-free bun.” Add lettuce, tomato, pickle — these are all GF.
Waffle Fries cross-contact
This is one of Chick-fil-A’s biggest advantages: the fryer for Waffle Fries uses 100% canola oil and is dedicated. No breaded chicken is fried in it. This is verified in their published allergen documentation.
Sample celiac-safe order
“Grilled Chicken Sandwich on the gluten-free bun, large Waffle Fries, Chick-fil-A Sauce, and a Diet Coke.”
